Kuben Naidoo brings a wealth of experience in public finance, economic policy, and financial regulation. He began his career at National Treasury in 1998, later leading the Budget Office from 2006 to 2010. During this time, he also completed a two-year secondment to the UK Treasury. From 2010 to 2012, he headed the secretariat of the National Planning Commission, playing a key role in shaping South Africa’s long-term economic strategy.

Kuben then served at the South African Reserve Bank, where he held multiple leadership roles, including Deputy Governor, CEO of the Prudential Authority, and member of the Monetary Policy Committee. His tenure at the central bank saw him oversee critical aspects of financial regulation and monetary policy.

He has recently joined Investec, focusing on payments and transactional banking systems.
