Qiniso currently serves as Group Chief Risk Officer at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange where she is responsible driving the Group’s enterprise-wide risk and resilience programme.

A highly astute and resourceful business management professional with 21 years of experience, Qiniso has worked for various industries within the public and private sector, including a multinational corporation in the manufacturing sector. She has held roles in operations, business development, strategy, risk and compliance.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Africa and is a Certified Risk Management Practitioner who is passionate about utilising her skills to mentor and contribute to the development of others.

She holds membership in various organisations, which include the Risk Intelligence Committee which she chairs at the Institute of Risk Management of South Africa (IRMSA).  She has been instrumental in the drafting of IRMSA’s 2022 and 2023 South Africa Risk Reports which outline the risk landscape for SA Inc.

Qiniso also serves in other industry committees such as the World Federation of Exchanges Enterprise Risk Working Group, Financial Sector Contingency Forum; in addition to serving as board and committee member for some non-profit organisations. Qiniso is a mother of two and an avid marathon runner, and more recently, a Mount Kilimanjaro Summiteer. We are truly privileged to have Qiniso on our team.
