COEFS hosted Ashok Bhundia, the Deputy Chief Economist at the Institute of International Finance (IIF) based in Washington D.C. for a round table discussion on emerging global trends.

The discussion covered global bond market dynamics, gold as a strategic reserve asset, and an economic outlook for South Africa over a 1 to 3 year horizon. Attended by leading financial sector economists, government representatives and economists from the private sector, the exchange of views was welcomed and provided robust debate.
